Why don't you just go buy a Snap-On ratchet and continue to use the tools that still work?

its the idea i spent $$ on tools they should have stock to replace the tools or fix them and this is the kinda thing they should have on hand ..
If they were any bit smart they would stop selling grany ******* and junk all the chezzy 1$ bin tool sets and go back to good tools but they think ppl rather buy 1$ bin tools so i want to show them thats will be the last time i ever give them any kinda businesses

and i seem to have a good idea tomorow on my way to work i go by about 3-5 sears locations i will stopp at every location and get a rebuild kit and i hope one of them will have the kit i need and the other kits will be just extras my form of A Hole tax

I understand. Go price out Snap-On replacements. I think you will find the Craftsman are more than economical even if you have to buy a new good quality ratchet. In fact that is what a lot of people on here do - Craftsman sockets and higher end ratchets.

You will lose way more sockets than you break, I like cheap replacements for $2-$3 not $10-$20.

So, what is the tool situation in the former soviet union? What brands of tools were over there and what is available? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

The tools that are old stock from soviet times that was liberated from industry or military is around and will be around for a long time and u will kill the faster way before the tool gives way .The stuff that's made today is better then Taiwan but no wear as good as the old stuff and if ur looking for cheap their are tons and tons of china junk around

Did they have any deals on commas, periods, or capital letters? I tried to read your post but I gave up. Not trying to a grammar nazi, but that is ridiculous.

I'm sure proper (or even understandable) use of language can "**** his ****" also!!

i had a craftsman tri-wing 1/4" taiwan ratchet that also broke, they refused to warranty, because they didnt have any in stock and it was back-ordered. all the sears stores near me are like commie super markets... the shelves are bare. i lost it on the manager, and i got him to open up a "tool set" and i got a replacement that way. i dont use my asain craftsman set anymore.

Just buy SO ratchets.. a few friends of mine got tired of having to fight with sears or Canadian Tire over ratchets so they bit the bullet and bought Snap On. A few years later and no issues.. There is no price on peace of mind.

The sad part with sears lately is they are charging a lot of money for junk in my imo with some of their tools you can go Hf and get the better things for less money
