I'd be interested in hearing about which codes actually work with tools that have already been discounted. Every coupon code I try now gives me no discount and a message that states a better offer has already been applied. So it seems that coupon codes now only work on items that are the normal full price.

That is helpful in what way to the OP's question?
i used it in early december, not sure when it expires.
SEARS2012 still works for $5 off of $50, just used that one yesterday because i had a $25 gift card to use and free shipping at $49...so i kept it as close to $50 as possible. i always keep my orders as close to the promo value as possible, and just make several orders if necessary.

Just got back. Here is a new coupon code FASHION2013 for 15% off clothing + accessories at Sears (just found out about it on retailmenot.com).
This code GAME25 is for $25 off $25 for game room orders.
This code SEARS5OFF50 is for $5 off $50. Should work until 30 June 2013. Works or Visa, or so I found out about it.
