I'm surprised this thread isn't getting more posts. I see people post deals Sears is having all the time.

SEARS50FF50 - worked 4/10/2011

This from sears.com today, 4/11/2011
---------------------
Online Only! Extra 10% off Select Tools Sold by Sears! Valid 4/11 5am through 4/17 4pm CT. Offer ends 11-Apr-2011
---------------------

So the offer runs thru 4/17, but expires today, huh?

Just tried to do one of their rebate deals, found it very confusing.
Never got email confirmation of my order, requested it a 2nd time, still nothing.

I wish sears would fire their entire web management team and hire amazon to run their website.

I need to buy a Gladiator 8' workbench. I'm confused by how to do some of these. I see that Sears says 20% off, but the price is the same as the last few months. What's the best deal you guys can come up with for the workbench?

The first thing I would try is Sears Outlet (if you haven't already). Also, if you're willing to travel a little make sure you select some surrounding stores. The inventory listing does not seem to be consistent, so you have to play around with the store selections. If I only select my one local Sears Outlet store it doesn't show me what my retail stores have on clearance. I've found that one of the retail stores near me (Louisville) has a brand new 8' Gladiator workbench for $350, but it doesn't show up unless I specifically have that store selected when I search. I've also tried searching Indy, Cincy and Lexington stores, but I can't search them all at the same time. Good luck.

Edit: Playing with the search again, it looks like you do see the retail store inventory as long as you only have one store selected. When I just select my local outlet store I seem to be able to see everything.

Edit 2: I stand corrected. There is a butcher block work surface at the Clarksville, IN store that I can't see unless I have that store selected, so definitely play around with the store selections if you have the patience.

Thanx! I'll play around with that!

Just an FYI, I placed an order on Sears.com tonight and none of the coupon codes listed in this thread work.

And whoever does Sears website needs to be thrown off a cliff. That website is atrocious.

I just got an email from Sears that says 30% off all Gladiator in store purchases starting tomorrow. So that's probably your best bet if no luck with the outlet website.

I was just reading that one this morning. Yippee!

None of the outlet stores in S. FL had the Workbench, so I'll look into this discount for sure. Might be gettin' me a second workbench tomorrow!

Not a deal everyone can get but I was looking at the batteries for the cordless power tools, and picked up a Lithium Ion Battery pack and Charger for $39.99. They put all of the overstock for their sale on a shelf, and the tag under it said $39.99, the dept head didn't want to honor it but after asking to speak with an assistant or store manager I got it for that price instead of the $109 sale price.

I brought the 10 dollar coupon to sears friday after work.. got into a serious argument with the manager because the coupon states nothing about being able to end the offer early and the coupon clearly stated the valid days on it. I am still pissed off about it.. if they are so **** about fine print anyway they should have just honored it. Another reason never to buy crapsman

I agree 100%. I said something to this effect in the other thread and people jumped on me. I've tried Sears' site for years and it's sucked every time. Craftsman.com has that beat though. Man, eight monkeys hammering on a keyboard will get it right more often than those IT guys.

I took mine in today. They told me that the coupon was fake. They then pointed me toward a sign they had posted on the wall that had a copy of the coupon and some verbage about how someone had sent a fake email with the coupon to everyone. They honored it anyway though because they felt sorry for everyone bringing it in.

They told me that it was a sears blue club (or something) deal only and that it had been ended early anyway. They told me it was for members only so i went on to show them that it said nothing about that in the fine print and that it was still valid, which it should have been.

Actually i know that it was real because they scanned it and the computer said it was no longer valid and ended early.

Im never going back to that sears again, that manager should have honored it.

Sears Friends and Family Night.
http://www.sears.com/familyandfriends
In store sale is 5/01 at full line stores, 5/09 at Hometown Stores
Online sale begins 4/30 8PM CT until 5/02 4 AM CT

Currently Sears is offering 10x bonus points for Shop Your Way Rewards. But it expires today. It is essentially an extra 10% credit back. It adds reward money to your Shop Your Way Rewards card that can then be spent as money at Sears, Kmart, Lands End, etc.

The way I see it, if you order online tonight after 8PM, you can get the friends and Family discount of 10% of current sales prices and the 10X bonus points for an additional 10% credit back.

If you order online, you can get free shipping with the code SHIP4MOM.

And I have been told that you can use the 10% military discount with the Friends and Family discount, but that is in store only.

Anytime you want something that is catalog or online only, if you go to the store and have them order it, it will be free shipping. Another benefit of ordering through the store, is returns are a lot easier than just buying online.

The SEARS2011 code is good for $5 off $50 and is expires 12/31/11.

I've used the military discount coupon once so far, I have another printed off and in my truck ready for use. 10% may not be much but it covers the sales tax.

Sears AAA Discount

Sears apparently has a 5% discount for AAA members when ordering online. Not sure how to apply the discount, but I believe you need to use AAA's portal for ordering. It might only apply in specific regions. I wonder if there is way around this though. Anyone have any info about this discount? Know how to apply it online?

yeah cardfan, I got my 8 foot Gladiator bench brand new unopened, in-box for $99.93 from Sears outlet. I cant believe no one else swiped it before me. Several months earlier I bought the 6 foot bench for $180 and i thought THAT was a steal...I had to drive 1 hour one way for each bench but it was worth it. Totally.

I been looking at sears for two specific drop in grills for the last 3 months. Today starts their memorial day sale all grills are 20% off. My two grills are now selling at their HIGHEST price so far, nice sale.

I went today to pick up the Craftsman Club deal 3pc locking pliers set for $19.99, and saw a sign for a free Stanley high-vis tape measure with $20 purchase. I had to buy a keychain screwdriver doo-dad for 99cents to get up to $20 (cashier said computer won't budge even for a penny).

Still not a bad deal.

Posting in "Hot Deals" thread also

The AAA click-through worked for me on 6/12. Showed up on the check out page under discounts applied on the bottom left. I used it to pick up several items that were on sale from 5-20% off on the website and it stacked with the AAA discount. I am in Missouri for what it's worth. Of course sears on-line had to make it difficult by canceling the 1/4 premium ratchet on Monday evening with the email saying no longer in stock (the 3/8 was OOS when I placed my order, I waited too long, bought one from DodgeZ here). The web site showed the 1/4 as being in stock so I took a deep breath and called the online-canceled order 800 number on the email and reordered it at the sale price of 36.14 shipped. Good deal, until I looked at my credit card statement. Somehow 14$ got added to the total that I got billed for. 1/4 inch arrived today while everything else is still in transit. I assume that the extra cost came from expedited shipping which I didn't ask for, approve, or see on the billing statement. The entire online-ordering process and support of Sears should be a text-book example of how not to do business. My local Sears is night and day better and keeps me buying from them in spite of the online hassles.

Just picked up the 3-piece Craftsman pry bar set at my local Sears for $19.99. The offer was good from 6/10-6/19, around here at least. It's the red handle (no striking cap) set with 25", 17", and 12" pry bars.

Wait, why isn't this in the general tool forum? If it weren't linked I probably would have never found this thread.

Went to Sears today, there's a bunch of tools on sale and more on clearance. I saw some Craftsman 12.5 inch plumbers pliers for $9.97 as well as linesman pliers for $7.97. All were made in the USA. Their screwdriver set is on sale as well for $9.99.

The 40" Craftsman Grip-Latch Ball Bearing combo has gone on sale again for $699. The ad I got Sunday and the ad online says 699 anyway - the web says $736.
At the risk of being pummeled by the Harbor Freight tool box fans I'll say that it is actually a nice box at this price level. It is bigger and I personally really like the Grip Latch feature.
Flames should start shortly :willy_nil
