I was in an antiques consignment store yesterday. They had a Craftsman 3/8" drive ratchet handle with gold plating and a mahogany presentation box for sale. Asking $50. It was in perfect condition and I was tempted but basically realized it was a $50 paper weight.

Anyone here but tools strictly for display purpose and never actually use them?

I have been lusting after one of these from the moment I realized they exist. Perfectly functional but too pretty to use every day. Wood handled Nepros 90t

Gold plating? On a Craftsman? Why?

No, I wouldn't buy tools for display. Even if I did... definitely not a Craftsman

I do have quite a bit of tools that I have for display only. All if which are older and more conversation pieces. Here is a display board I made for 1 one such example. IMG_20200802_210306174.jpeg
