Hi I saw these craftsman digital torque wrenches on sale on the Sears website?

Any experience with them? I like the wide torque ranges, as most 3/8 I see are 20-100. How do digital torque wrenches hold up at the extremes of their ranges.. ex bottom 15% or top 15% of torque range.

Zero experience with that, but does seem like a Proto-type, if you will. I'd trust it for general use but not if my job depended on it.

I have problems with digital torque wrenches and simply like click type still. Even the high end ones beep and give a haptic feedback, but still seems to have some reset method that is cumbersome. I also like to see reverse torque, but I wouldn't expect that for $70

Those are me problems, I'd buy it!

Yeah I might get it. I think the '299' is a stretch. There is a newer model around 140. Before I buy it, how do the digital ones fare on the extreme ends of the torque spectrum. Was hoping to be able to use for spark plugs in the future (13-17ft pd). My Pittsburgh one sketches me out a bit.

If you have any suggestions for clickers in under $80 accurate in 10-40 range I am fair game. The husky looked good but it's 20-100.

You do understand that the heart of a digital torque wrench is this. And a stick on electronic sensor that measures similarly to your bathroom scale.

These are a lot cheaper to manufacture than a classic click type torque wrench, despite selling for multiples of the price. Ah, marketing.
