I was looking for a Craftsman older bench grinder and thought i found one.
Purchase price was $70. It is actually a Sears / Craftsman professional 8" bench grinder.
Upper right corner shows a small 9 that has an underline followed by 20808 (920808)
3/4 hp.
8' x 1" grinding wheels.
6.5 amps.
3450 rpm.
Model C315.208080
Imported for Sears Canada Inc., Toronto
Serial # 92051411
I think that this might not be a true Craftsman, as i can't find any information. Maybe it is actually a Ryobi ?
It runs good with no vibration. has good eye shields and solid tool rests, (not cheap flimsy metal). Gooseneck light in fairly good shape.
Quenching tray was missing.
Anybody know anything about this model?
I think given the age that it would be a good idea to pull it apart and repack or replace the bearing.
Thoughts, comments?
Any help is appreciated.
