and the standards for 49.99

Something I noticed about Dewalt tools. I thought the thin profile craftsman ratchets were heavy.......pick one of the Dewalt ratchets up. They must have did some market research and decided the user equates mass with quality.

wrench's are NOT thin, i have thinner, but they arent raised panel craftsmans. .....go look at them in person.

well, I think they are a decent wrench and a decent deal.

I have Craftsman Industrial wrench's, some Mac, some snap on and a 14mm Flank drive plus, Gearwrench surface drive plus and now these.

I think these are decent and worth the money.

I know there is a thread in this website comparing all the flank drive plus type wrench's. I think these will be on par with the best, for a fraction of the price. I dont think they are overly thin, or weak. thin has advantages at times, and disadvantages.

Everyone has their own opinion, but the bottom line is...GET THE JOB DONE. it isnt a show piece, its a Wrench.

Maybe I am not that hard on my tools but I can't tell you the last time I broke a wrench. Or the last time warranty terms factored into my tool purchases. If the tool is good quality at a good price I would buy it no matter the return policy. If you want a good quality Taiwan made wrench set at a good price($40) for an 11pc set with a craftsman like warranty. Go to lowes and get the Kobalt set. Oh and they go on sale for $29.99 once in a while

im in the market for a set of metric wrenches as all i have a the minute are ratcheting wrenches.

whats the chrome quality like? are they similar to the mac equivalent?

I used them on doing some brake line work last week.

I REALLY LIKE THEM

Believe it or not, I moved them into my goto wrench drawer, and have been using them. At the price I paid, its a NO LOSE tool.

From the picture these look like they're longer than the raised panel wrenches.

I'm in the market for a set of long metric wrenches, these look like they would fit the bill rather well. I might have to swing by sears on my way home.

They are longer the RPs. But not enough to call them long pattern. Iirc when I compared them in store its about 3/4" difference.

Np! Also iirc, some of the smaller sizes like 10mm was the same length as rp. But ya, rps are shorter then most standard length Wrenches. Let us know what you Get!

Should be the same as the Stanley stuff, there was an article (on the net) a few months ago that some of the Stanley Fat Max stuff was going to be sold under the Dewalt name. So I would think it's just more of a brand name recognition sales tactic.

But who's to complain if you get a good deal and like them. :dunno:

I bought (4) vintage units instead, a '50s SO 6 drawer chest K-55R, a '77 CM 12 drawer chest, an '80s? Waterloo 6 drawer chest, & a '50s? Kennedy 2 drawer cab. Only so much $ to work with or would have grabbed it fast. Happy Trails!

I got to tell you all........the DeWalt wrench sets.....NICE!!!!!

THERE are also new craftsman max access wrench sets.....they are nearly identical to the industrials.....with the flank drive plus copy.....china....but damn nice for the price.

ill post more pics in time. Enjoy your holidays!!!
