I'm a shop your way rewards member. I was charged $29.99 a set for socket sets that show $25.49 on sears.com, as a SYWR member.

I bought two of those, metric and standard deep wall.

If I take my receipt into sears, will they make it right?

I am not positive about this, but I think you have to order the part online to get that price, and have it shipped to the store, at no charge for shipping. Sears stores do not match prices with Sears.com, from what I was told.

I remember a long while back I had a prob where I was overcharged a few bucks. After way to much hassle they agread to refund the overcharge. When I got my statment they only refunded less than half of what should of been. Their customer servise leaves alot to be desired.

You may have an easier time just returning the set to your local Sears for a full refund. Then have them price match the online and buy them in the store.

sears.com and sears stores are separate entities. You may not get a price match, depends entirely on the manager and they are not obligated to honor online prices. It sounds stupid but that's the way they function. Walmart is the same way with the .com portion being a separate company. Just do your shopping online and pick-up in store to take advantage of the online sales and coupons.

I bought a motorcycle lift from sears website. They had it advertised online for 25 dollars less and free shipping or free ship to store. I went to the store and spoke to a manager and he wouldnt honor the online price in the store. So, they lost out on the shipping to send it to my door step. Oh well.

Sears website prices are routinely lower. Unless the item is actually listed as on sale via their national ad, it will not be for sale in store.

I don't know if the store is obligated to price match the site or not, doubt it. From my experience though, 99.9% of the people working there are idjiits, and many are lazy idjiits. I've wasted my time trying to get them to do anything besides ring me up for items on the shelf, and half the time just that is a battle. Like most said, you can try if you want to, but you're probably better off either buying online and picking up in store, or just paying store price.

It is aggravating, but Sears.com is kind of sort of separate from the local store. They may or may not match the price, it probably depends on the manager you talk to.

This. Definitely this. At this point the only time I go into Sears is to pick up the stuff I ordered online. Or to check if I have a question about COO on something before I go and order it online. More often than not there's a discount on sears.com that isn't being offered in store.

Reminds me of a printer I bought. Store was closing, everything was supposedly on clearance. Well this printer was cheaper online and in their flyer. I asked about it and the manager wouldn't match the price. I told her, "Ok, Watch this", and I ordered it on my phone and chose in store pickup.
