Sears (Dunlap?) 1/4" socket set

I found this at a flea market yesterday, paid $5 for it. The kit looks almost brand new (I had to clean the years of crud off of the pouch). Interesting that the driver handle looks like the classic Dunlap, but has no Dunlap markings. The sockets are marked Made in USA. Also interesting, two sizes of sockets are square (1/4 & 5/16).

Thoughts on Dunlap or not?

Among the many house brands of Sears, there actually have been "Sears" branded tools of which yours is obviously one. Nice find!

The yellow / red handled driver is what was making me think it was Sears Dunlap.. I've got another 1/4" driver handle just like it with Dunlap stamped into it.. I'll have to snap a pict and post when I get home...

I'll also take a closer look at the reverse side of the pouch, as I cleaned it but didn't really read it all that well.

There are actually 3 different handles.. Dunlap, Sears, and the "new" to me one is blank/no name. The new to me one has a slightly different knob shape. Also, snapped a shot of the reverse of the pouch. Interesting progression...

Just looked on the web, found that exact PN on eBay .. The one I found was a Companion.. Now I need to buy that to "complete" the set...

Interesting.. all my Dunlap screwdrivers have the characteristic red knob on the top of the handle.. That one is very cool...
