Even though at $15 I would stay away from GW open end wrenches. A lot of members say open up under pressure.

I am interested in the ratcheting combos for 32.99 is that as good as the price gets around the holidays?

For some odd reason those locking flex head stubbing are calling my name.

I spied that stool too. I was thinking about getting another for the garage. When I flipped through the catalog the other day, I thought the price was $89.99 ? So did they raise price to lower it and forget to lower it ?

Better prices on all the toolboxes on SearsOutlet.com . . . . IF . . there is any quantity in your area. There were some screaming deals but I'd have to drive several hrs so had to skip.

Anyone in KC area, ought to check out SearsOutlet as they Craftsman impact sockets for $29.99 (both SAE & metric combined set) but they are shorts. Part # is 16960 for 23 piece set. Some jokers on Ebay are trying to sell same set for $80 . . . yeah right !

I picked up two stools last month on a local only sale for 49.00 each but they are still on sale in my local store for 69.00.

Hmm, $143 for an IR 2131C (not sure what the C means?) seems like a good way to get a solid impact on a budget.

$145 for a drywall lift seems really cheap if you had any need for it.

Amazon has several for $149-ish, so not that fantastic a deal. I need to read up on a bunch of them to decide which one I want.

Saturday I randomly went to a Sears Home! (whatever that means) and they had the red 26" top box on the 5 drawer bottom, and I bought the pair for $119 minus my $5 coupon for SYW. They were the display model and I didn't get the 'mag wheel' casters, but it's a decent box and a good complement to my older Husky 27" unit. And by 'display model' I mean I got the steel tool-weight-simulation plate in one of the drawers!

I walked in expecting to buy a punch set or something and went, 'oh, well I guess I have to own that.'

I bought one of those the year they came out and love it. I added the matching 3/8 gun a couple years back.

A lot of those same members haven't touched them or even been in the same area code as them.

I'm curious, though - if you've got a set of combos, why the need for open-end wrenches?

1. There is no such thing as enough wrenches. The one time your go to set can not work and another wrench from a another does is just complete satisfaction. and/or makes a task a lot easier then before.

2. You might need wrenches for a nut and bolt situation where a socket can't go. When messing with fittings when some cases you will need same size wrench x 2.

3. A lot of Pro-Wrenchers have a go to set that is not a GW. These weekend warriors, hobbyists, enthusiasts and new to trade who respectively buy GW have been let down.

I have been a member here on this board for a short time and I take all the tool reviews with respect. Some times I am glad it is not me :)

So like I said before even at $15 I would pass on the GW set not even for a truck bag.

Not saying "enough" - I'm asking why, specifically, this style of wrench.

So, two sets of combos would do the same thing, then?
