I think this board gets more grumpy every day.
I think what Sears is doing is great. I hope more companies do the same.

SSI'm not completely buying this, I haven't called any of those numbers but there is no way that these supposed corporate vp's have the resources or time to actually personally consider or respond to everyone's opinion who calls. The logistics just are not there this is why large companies have the command structures they do and why company exec's generally are not accessible to everyday customers in the first place. Wait never mind I just called Karen Miller and a voice recorder asks you to state your name and then it will connect you only then another voice machine answers and says this Google voice subscriber is not available and hangs up. So much for that LOL.

Hang on a second I just received a call back from a courteous individual (an employee of Sears) who was apparently a go-between to Karen Miller one of the Sears execs listed by the OP's post. He wanted to know any comments or complaints I had on Sears and he allegedly forwards them to Karen Miller. Apparently your supposed to leave a message and he checks it every hour. So not as bad as I thought I just had to check it out for myself either way I knew no company exec is taking cold calls from people though lol. But it's nice to have a company care about there customer service and it seems Sears is doing just that.
Sounds to me like Sears is really feeling the heat, especially with their tool department. I just hope for them it's not to little to late. Eventually Harbor Freight, amongst others, were going to put a serious dent in the Craftsman tools sales. It used to be that your average joe would always turn to Sears for tools.
It's like with me, if I am going to buy a tool that I will only use once then I am going to Harbor Freight. Now if I want something to abuse day in and day out I am going to buy something that I know is built to last in a harsh environment. Not to mention a lifetime guarantee.

I'm sorry, what planet did you say you were from
Sears is doing great, thats like saying Saddam Hussian was concerned with human rights![]()
The GJ glass seems to always be half-empty.
I could be wrong, but when I go into a sears store with my wife they are dead, even in a busy mall on a weekend. Now you may be seeing something different in your area of the Country, but on the other hand when I go to a HF store they are so busy that it is standing room only.
I am sure that these executives know what is happening,(at least one would hope so),they must hear it 24/7 ; what can they say to keep you coming back, thank you for all your input we will take that and put it in our files...
To all the other GJ members be thoughtful of the op; He is trying and I give that member a![]()
The craftsman lifetime warranty is only good until the tool line stays in production. Ive seen great tools companies fall without compromising quality. Sears won't last another 5 years. Unless Craftsman pulls a rabbit out of the hat they won't last 10 selling in ACE, Kmart and other places.
If Sears started selling Snap-On at half price, some people would still ***** and hope that they go under.
I think that it's great that they are at least trying do something.
Mike, couldn't agree with you more. I found out that my fiancee is getting me the new Craftsman Premium 1/2" Drive Ratchet for Valentine's Day!!! (I had no idea guys ever got anything for Valentine's Day, but hey, who am I to argue over what is said to be one of the best ratchets out there?)

Glad to hear it. Question for you, or anyone else: Is the Craftsman Premium ratchet a truly sealed head or can you get at it with some snap ring pliers? I would like to know because even though it has the lifetime warranty, I like to maintain my tools.

And what exactly is your financial analysis based on? I really love it when unqualified people make unqualified predictions.

And just to add to this, Morningstar also disagrees with you and by a long shot. The word of Morningstar is something you can stake your money on.
Good day,

I've actually never seen more than one other person in HF. Last night at Sears it was actually quite busy...surprisingly so...
Sears after Sears Closing. No customers, skeleton crew of employees. It doesn't take a financial superstar to see they are in real trouble. But in all honesty it's just a educated guess based on watching big business failing. I'm not qualified to make that prediction but I'm not wrong very often when I see these things. I know what it takes to stay in business and it's not happening for them. The Craftsman line may continue to go on and I think Craftsman knows what it's going to take including selling at K-Mart, ACE and a few other places. My prediction is only that and my guess is sometimes better than some analyst. I had a feeling that Ford and GM were going to pull out of the slump so I bought Ford Stock at less than $1 per share and GM much cheaper. Just remember in 2016 and look around and see how many Sears stores are still open.
Ford hasn't been under $1 for 30 years and if you bought GM for less than that I hate to break it to you but it is COMPLETELY worthless because when they declared bankruptcy it wiped out the common stockholders.
I really have to question what I read on this forum, everyone should.
