Is Sears going to have an open stock sale this winter?
The back up set has some holes in it, and I hate to pay full price.

I knid of doubt it but, no one ever really knows what Sears is going to do. It was be nice if they did. Inventory seems to be down at the local stores. I don't feel they've had a decent sale in over a year. When was the last half off all Gearwrench sale? You may want to look for used Craftsman to fill the holes.

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
I was just going through 4 tool boxes of my fathers (he passed away in 2006) and two of them are full of Craftsman sockets and one is full of wrenches! I was shocked because he must of bought a very large socket set since it had everything in 6 pt and 12 pt 1/4" drive thru 1/2" standard and deep. As for wrenches 3+ complete sets with some spares. Once I finish putting together the sets for each vehicle and work (which I already have a bunch at) I may have some, which I'll post here.

I have a lot of extra Craftsman, send me PM with your missing pieces and I'll check what I have available.

Last one I knew of was 12/2008.
I bought a 13pc SAE XL ratcheting combo set, a 16pc Metric XL set, and a 16pc SAE/Metric ratcheting stubby set.

Half off?!?!?!?! I just couldn't pass it up. Glad I got them, I like those wrenches a lot!
