I don't know if they do this annually (or just regularly) but I stopped into the sears outlet nearby to see if there was anything new, and they had a TON of wrenches, sockets, and 'tool sets' on clearance.

I didn't see any CM Pro or any impact stuff, but I wasn't looking that hard. Just a heads up in case anyone has one nearby, go check it out.

These are probably the same ones that have been there a while. Mostly craftsman industrial and larger sets. Op were they craftsman industrial that you seen or normal things/packaging you see at regular sears stores?

They were cardboard boxes which I assume either contained minimally-packaged tools or just outside the normal plastic cases you'd get in the store. They had the normal red/white color scheme, I assume they're just 'plain old craftsman'. Also, from what I've seen around here the CM Industrial is only storage and 'big' items, haven't seen any in-store hand tool sets with that name on it.

Nope that's same as all the the other craftsman sets at sears. Open them up they are craftsman industrial (most of them anyway). Look at other threads about the wrenches and on the hot deals section.

we have an outlet near us, the place is a **** hole. the tools are always on "clearance" but comparing the prices to normal sears sale prices makes it look overpriced. i love craftsman, and buy it up at good prices, that being said... i have never bought from the outlet.

Seats is going to get rid of the outlet stores (hometown stores too) in the near future. Enjoy it while you can.

See the two multi page threads about this. One in the General Tools forum and the other in Hot Deals.

And they are very good sets for the money.

That's been my experience in recent years as well. I did buy from an outlet back in the 1980s though, and actually got a good deal back then. Today the outlet store is "in a van down by the river." Not even worth the drive.

My sears store is closing october 19th. I'm pretty bummed about it, so i'll be taking a lot of tools up there in the near future to warranty out.
