Almost all of the Midwest branded snips at Sears appeared on clearance today when I went into the store. This included all of their tinner style snips and a good amount of their aviation style snips. If you've been wanting some, better go by and ****** them up while you can. After that you'll have to order them from epsteins or amazon or something... Just a heads up.

Yep, however, if you're in the midwest and looking for Midwest snips, just wait for Menards to have their USA sale. Same price as Sears clearance for the most part. However I did just pick up some Midwest crimpers for $11. You're not going to beat that with a stick!
They work well once you oil them and adjust the screw to your preference. It ***** that you will have a harder time finding them locally now.
Oh and I just got some crimpers for about the same price as well. That was a good deal.

The Midwest snips are on clearance at Sears. The little pink sticker tells me so, says "clearance" right on it.

if i remember correctly, $.97 means that it is not dicontinued or not going to be stocked any longer. $.88 is the not stocked any longer code i think.

Are the off sets included with the clearances? I get them 12 bucks a pair at menards on sale and i have a drawer full. I would be in for under ten bucks.

What would I use these for and if I bought only one pair, which one is the most commonly used? I don't want to pass up an opportunity to buy a tool however I don't think I would use these very often.

for cutting sheet metals, flashing, things like that. those prices are good, but they arent anything to go running out to buy them up.

I cut sheet metal for a living... none pictured get used by me. Offsets are soooooo much nicer. I have only known two sheet metal workers that used aviation snips.

Mine had a bunch of the ones that were 90 degree cutters.
I picked up one of the 10" tinner snips on clearance. I have a few other similar models I bought from Sears in the past. I also bought a pack of galvanized 2 1/2" trim nails which were on clearance at 75% off and 2 craftsman pro Torx 40 drivers at under $2 each. Not a bad purchase I think, as I expect to use the snips and the trim nails in the near future. The torx 40 drivers I am not so sure about but hey they were 80% off...
