Sears Return Without Receipt ?

Anyone Know if you can return items at sears without a receipt?

I received an item for Christmas I want to return but I really dont want to ask the person for the receipt and there was no gift receipt in the bag.

You should be able to, but they're only going to give you store credit. I've done it a few times at our locla store

Usually only give the sale price if don't have the receipt.

More than likely, you'll get a store credit.

its been a while,,,,but as I remember they give store credit only and they return the lowest price they have sold it for in the past 6mo or year (something like that) and sometimes the price comes back really weird like $4 for something that is generally $100.

and the kicker is you get put on the sears 'naughty list'. that is they will only take a 2-3 returns from you without a recipt then you will not be allowed any more

I just returned a nook to kmart w/o the receipt and used my rewards card to look it up. Got a gift card
