I got an email from Sears today saying that the entire line of Craftsman branded tools is on sale Saturday 15 March for 20% off. It might be a good time to pick up a few odds and ends.:D

This is a regular sale flyer good for anyone who buys anything Craftsman. No Club deals going on untill the end of the month. The flyer that I saw at the store today does not indicate any exclusions with the exception of a few items that are 50% off, they are listed on the inside of the back page. There are also a few 9am to noon specials on the front page.

Fwiw, our local store already had the prices marked down last night. Good to know in case I can't make a one-day sale because of some sort of schedule conflict - just try it the night before.

Esch, our flyer was in Friday's newpaper. Nothing fancy about the flyer and ours sounds exactly like the one Abodyracer described.

And if you can't make it down to the store before noon, you can buy it online for pickup. You get the good sale price and can pick it up in the next couple days. I did that the last time they had the Gladiator wall cabinets on sale for $99, which are $99 till noon today.

I just ordered some stuff including a 1/2" drive air ratchet. The 20% off shows up after you add your items to your cart. There's no mention of the sale before hand. I just saved $70 and got free shipping with the items I ordered, not bad.:)

I placed an order last week for some catalog only items and if I knew this I would have waited!

I just purchased a set of flare nut wrench last night for $35. No one mentioned about any 20% off ! Went back today and asked if I can still get the 20% off, they gave it to me. Fine, but the flyer say the sale is 3/9 to 3/15, so they should have known.

The flyer did not say any thing about the sale ending at noon today.

I think they raised the prices and then give you a discount; since I don't have a drill press, I was looking at the small 10" model.. yesterday it was $80 and today it is $100 but out of stock ... was in stock at local stores yesterday ...

If you only checked the stock online, it might be worthwhile to call up your local store. Both stores in my area reflect no DP stock online but always have one or two in stock.

The 10" goes for $90 on sale usually and rarely drops to $80. You might be able to wait for a Craftsman Club period and use a coupon. You could always do in-store pickup, right? There is no way that the 10" drill press will drop below $80 unless it goes on clearance.

I too noticed that 20% off sales are sometimes worse than regular sale prices.

You don't want that pos anyway.

What's wrong with it ... I was also at Lowe's looking at the Hitachi and Delta .. seems like the Craftsman is better made even though everything is from China (looking at the metal label)....

I picked up the gearwrench set that I wanted but all the 80th anniversary stuff that everyone has said was on huge clearance was all gone already.

Our Sears had selected Craftsman and other items at 20% off. The good one was the IR impacts were included. Time for the QT.

It was interesting to note some price changes. A few items, hex T handles for one had a higher price and then a markdown than they had, had before. There were other items that Sears had the cheapest regular price in town. IR impacts before discount, Visegrips, Cresent wrenches, Lisle, and some hammers. This was a change from a year ago. It appears everyone else went up and Sears stayed the same. It was surprising.
