Yea there have been several threads on it in the past. None of the tools they offer for the discount are ones I would really want though.

Sears is running a new discount program for students in tech school. It's a good deal if you have some tools you want to buy from there.

Even if the program is flawed it allows students and young people to get started in their garage early.
