This tool cart is on sale at my local Sears store for $99. It looks like it will do exactly what I need at the shop. I only need the couple of drawers it has to set it up for common PM type stuff and minor, common repairs instead of rolling my whole tool box around. Plus I could use the top surface to work on things.

Anyone one use one of these at all? Just curious if you have any complaints or regrets. For the price I can't imagine being too upset with it unless it brakes the first time I use it or something.

Thanks

Looks really narrow.

I too am looking for a 'small' cart and the HF 16" seemed a little narrow based on reviews, I'm thinking 18" may be perfect.

Have you been down to the store to see it in person?

The stock photos on the website don't instill any confidence at all when I look at them.

There are dents, uneven gaps, and the Bolts for the casters pocking thru into the lower shelf making parts of it uneven/unusable for stacking stuff.

It has a split-top design that is probably fine on a more expensive cart but likely to be an issue at $99price point.

What else are you looking at?

That was really the only one I looked at because it was the only one that looked like it had what I wanted. Most of the other ones I have seen have more drawers than I need or are more money than I can justify spending.

I did see it in person but I may go back and take a better look. I didn't want to buy it or spend too much time looking at it while I was Christmas shopping.

I think you might be right about how narrow it is. I also have to cut or weld up small projects sometimes. Like a mud flap or placard bracket. Or cut a hole in rectangle tube stock for example. And I thought it might be nice to be able to have tool under the work where I can reach them with the sliding top rather than one that opens up. Another look at it is in order.

I think I'd put another $70.00 with that hundred...

And get one of these...

i have that cart bought it back in 2002-2003 if I remember right I used it for years as my service cart for work and then they bought us rubbermade carts and I now use it at home in my garage. I now use the harbor freight red cart at work and like it so much better. With that said there is nothing wrong with the sears cart if it meets your requirements. I did find that the sliding top some times was a pain having some thing on top then needing a tool inside the deep compartment on top. Hope this helps.
