If you're a Veteran Sears has a 40% off regular priced items and 10% off sale items for Veterans Day. They require proof of course but its a good deal if you're looking for something.
Their ad says "must present military ID" so must not be for actual "veterans" but for active duty and active reservists. My military ID expired 20 years ago!
VA ID cards also count.
I've used my DD214 before at Sears with no issue. Ohio BMV in the last few years started asking Vets if they wanted an "Armed Forces" emblem on your DL.
Ohio residents, it'll look like this. . .
Craftsman has always been outsourced.
Does anyone have a source that talks about the discount? I'm not seeing it in the ad?
I am a disabled Vet but have no current ID. More times than not the DD214 doesn't work. I get tired of trying.
I like the Civilian CAC card approach. Just put your thumb over the word "civilian" and ask about a "government or military discount".
Hell, most of the time if you get a young cashier, they don't even know what a civilian is.

There better be a DD214 to back that bull up, impersonating a veteran for a discount IS another form of stolen valor.![]()
Screw 'em. Still can't find a direct link that takes me to the info.
I don't know why I keep getting sucked back into the Craftsman world. Let 'em die on the vine.
No offense to the OP or anyone else I this thread. I just hate it when companies pull this **** and try to capitalize of something they really couldn't give a **** about. They don't care about the Vets, they just care about the money.

Try this:
- A full-line Sears store needs to be selected. If it's not, click on Change store and choose one. (not smaller stores like Sears Hometown or Sears Appliance)
- Click on View the Weekly Ad
- "11/5 Ad Valid Nov 05 - Nov 14, 2015" should be available, so click on the thumbnail.
- For me, the red banner explaining the military discount is on page 11. (see attached screenshot)
EDIT: GJ didn't like my screenshot and shrunk it.
I've included a screenshot of the info. The link is below and the 40% off is on their home page, just press the "see details" tab under the 40% 10% military double discount.
I saved 10% on some batteries with my military ID.
