The heat/humidity finally abated for a couple of weeks here in the NE and I was able to put on a second clear coat from Wolverine/Alpha garage on the floor. Just thought I would share the results. I only did the main traffic areas of the garage, essentially where cars would be sitting and around the lift area. so the cabinets against the walls are the depth that aren't covered roughly 2ft on one side and where the work bench is.

Amazing at the added depth of shine. you can see the pictures i have on a ledge pretty clearly in the floor reflection.

Looks great! I start my first Endurashine clear in a few hours and the rest tomorrow I expect.

How much did you mix at once?

How did it lay down, like a household wall paint?

Did it easily self level?

What was your work time before you notice it started to thicken?

What was the cure time to being able to walk on it /able to re coat if it were not for the weather?

for the recoat I purchased 2 half kits ~800sq ft, probably could of just mixed up the batch all together, but marked off 400 sqft areas so I know i had an equal coating. I just used blue tape as a spotter for the area on the walls.

The open time for this product is pretty long compared to the epoxy. I was doing some small touch ups today with some left over product where I had some roller marks and I was touching stuff up for at least an hour.

It will self level to a degree, you can't put it on too thick though as then it has bubbling problems or something like that.

Its a little thicker than house paint. It was actually hard to my finger nail poke test in 8 hours. I think I walked on it the next day, so a little more than 24hrs. this really depends on the slab and outdoor temps though. My slab was at 71degrees when i did mine and i turned on the radiant floor for an add degree or two to help with the curing, couldn't hurt I figured.

I would try to do entire area on the same day so the "seam" of the areas you do will blend together better. I guess though if you have are really big floor that may be impossible.

Thanks. I think I am going to mix half and half just to be safe. I just hope it is ready for the second coat tomorrow!

I'll post up a separate full post of my job when it's all done. Hardest part is having a full week to do it, WITH good weather, and having nothing in the garage including my 400lb welding bench!
