I currently have a detached garage that has a single Genie Wall Button (model: GPWC-2WLB) and would like to install an additional wall button in the house near the entry door. I have already run low-voltage cable from the house to the garage in underground PVC. Can I simply purchase another Genie Wall Button (GPWC-2WLB) and wire it in parallel?

Thanks,
Marcin

My experience with Genie...

Everything they do is proprietary. I installed a new Genie a couple of years ago. My existing outside keypad would not work. Genie keypad required. The original "doorbell" type button that was left over from the old opener didn't work. Had to change it to the Genie button.

For what its worth.

And duh. I just reread your question...

My keypad and my button are wired in parallel. Granted, they are only about 25 apart but assuming the distance doesn't affect it, it should work.
