I have added a second GE ground bar with an additional neutral/ ground lug in my Ge main panel, planning to hook up the feed to my shop this weekend. The feed has a number 2 AL ground is there any reason not to land the number 2 ground on the new ground bar? The new ground bar is bonded back to the neutral/ground bars in the same panel.

That's okay. I must ask what size feed are you doing that has a #2Al ground? 200A?

It’s a 100 amp feed using 1/0 al and it’s 218 feet breaker to breaker. I found conflict information on the correct ground size so I just duplicated the size used in quadraplex urd Norte dame cable. I’m guessing a number 4 probably would have been sufficient.
