Second line from well

Thinking about adding an ADU on the property. The least expensive option would put it in range of the current well. It could be done, but I'd like some thoughts I may not have considered, along with any personal experience. Here is the basic rundown:
1. The ADU would need a waterline run of about 250 ft from the well, slightly downhill. The run to the main house is about 60 ft.
2. House (4 BR, 3BA) and well were done in 2009. First 5 years had some colloidal clay issues, have run the well dry perhaps 5 times over the 14 years, most all in the first 5-6 years when we had 8 folks living in the house. Mostly likely combinations of super dry weather and kids leaving the hose on. Some drought-like conditions have not run the well dry when many friends have had theirs run dry.
3. Well is 90 ft, with veins at 60 and 80 ft.

Is there an additional water storage tank that can help with high demand times and recharge?

My house is 735 feet from my well with a 1/2 hp pump and a pressure tank. 3/4 inch PVC pipe, and I share that with the Renter next door.

Couldn't tell ya' the gpm, but it has served multiple showers with washing machine and dishwashing without balking. The pressure tank is, I'm guessing, 20 g. A separate water line would go to a small ADU, perhaps 2 BR, 1BA.

Well, pun intended, there are several factors to consider and options. First off this is what I did for a living for forty plus years, so I do have some experience. As JIVES asked, the first and foremost question that must be asked and answered is well production. Without knowing this fact for certain, nothing can truly be recommended. As to pressure tank size, it too needs to be confirmed. There is a "kink" in this though. A pressure tank is sold by gallon capacity, yet its actual fill capacity is only 30%. Thus a 20-gallon tank with have a drawdown of around 6 gallons depending on the setting on the pressure switch. The lower the off-on pressure, the higher capacity of the tank store. But I am getting the cart ahead of the horse. Well capacity is first and foremost and the most important factor in the decision making process.
