Secure Items to 2 Post Lift Columns Without Drilling?

It is a wonder of mine why 2 post lift manufacturer's do not (from the factory) attach a few sections of Unistrut to the lift points and paint to match the column color.... makes too much sense. Instead, we have to come up with ways ourselves, normally with drilling and tapping the columns. Of course you could put stick-on hooks, zip-tie stick-ons, etc.... but for heavier weight items it leaves you scratching your head..

And at the same time, some manufacturer's void a warranty if you drill/modify a lift column. My Forward DP10A leaves a lot to be desired as far as add-on mounting options. Is anyone aware of a way to secure Unistrut to a column without drilling? I was thinking a c-clamp style grab attachment of some sorts. I'm a mechanic - not an industrial maint. tech. My main goal is to secure a junction box to the lift in an effort to have a kill switch of some sorts. Another pet peeve of mine, the dinky push button switches are garbage with no built-in safety of a simple on/off switch. Any insight on non-drill applications or what you did would be appreciated.

a metal band around the post with your attachments fastened to that?
cut a 12-18 inch piece of uni-strut. Drill a hole aprox 2 inches from each end. Now cut another piece of metal same length and drill 2 holes in the same place.
now use threaded rod to hold the uni-strut on the lift post, tighten and secure!

Magnets, Some speaker magnets have a threaded hole in them and they are very sturdy/strong
Harbor Freight has paper towel rack, can storage shelf, a container to store your surgical gloves etc.
any hardware store has magnets with hook on them

I just ran power and used 3/8" long Zip screws, I drilled a pilot. This was on the back side where the metal is thicker and nothing goes through. Now I am running air on the other post and down the side towards the choices I am considering are to

Use adhesive

Weld studs

Tap the post and bolt (this was my original plan but the side wall looks thin).

Through bolt with 10_32 machine screw, but only down the center where it should clear the cairage (I am leaning to this.)
