So this is going to sound very strange, but I'm having the walls raised and a new roof put on my garage (6 foot ceilings are simply not enough, since I'm 6'2"). I've removed 90% of my stuff from the garage, what a pain that was, but I'm at a loss on how to secure my tool chest.
My wife would really rather it not go inside, as she does not want it damaging the wood floors and the chance of rain is slim to none most days here in San Diego. So How would you go about securing your tool chest? I have plenty or master locks, so I could chain it closed, and to my gas main...
Or should I just put down a few layers of card board and place the chest in the house?
