Security cameras to TV

I have Night Owl security cameras that go to the DVR that is in a hall closet with the furnace. The Tv, WiFi MiFi and wireless router are on an outside two story wall that i cannot pull wire to about 50’ away from closet. I send the Night Owl to the router using a power line adapter then LAN to router. The TV is also LAN to the router. The TV is a Vizio and I can’t load the Night Owl App to the TV. I would like to be able to see the cameras on the TV without using a phone or tablet to mirror to TV. Any ideas to how to get cameras on the TV. Thanks

HDMI to ethernet adapter is the only thing i can think of but you would need to fish wire somehow

why cant you get a wire to the closet? how did you get the camera wires in the closet?

you'll have to check if your TV runs an android os or WebOS or that Linux distro like samsung... If it is android OS, you might be able to if Nightowl release a version to your TV android OS, Even that, the libraries have to be there to support it... for example, I have hikvsison, they released apps for android and iphone, but I have an Amazon Fire tablet, I can make the app install, but it won't work.. the libraries are different. So no go. So you can't load the app Vizo uses SmartCast OS, Unless Night Owl release the app to that platform. Most likely NO.

You can try buying a cheap $30 android box and see if you can install their android apps.

or just fish the wires as mentioned.

The closet where the camera wires are, is a single story wing of the MB. Ran wires in eves to the closet. The rest of the rest of the house is two story. Can’t run wires without removing sheet rock. I would think if both TV and DVR are both hooked to the router they should be able to talk to each other.

ok so why couldnt you pull CAT5e wire to the eve like you did for the cameras then surface mount it and drill through the outside wall to get to the NVR?

That would be an option. Run HDMI cable out the eve at back of house and go underground around perimeter of house to front, then through brick wall to TV. Just was thinking there might be a way without running a wire.

not dont run HDMI. it might not work at that distance. instead run CAT6 and use HDMi to ethernet converters on each end. you buy them in pairs

Wireless HDMI might be a quick easy option, although pulling wire would be cheaper.

50' is pretty long, needs active HDMI and a cable setup up for those lengths.
For HDMI over ethernet, you probably need CAT6. CAT5 needed two cables last time I looked.

Another option is to build something simple that can use that app and is over wifi.. raspberry pi - or if that's not your thing, a small / cheap PC.... Or Fire TV (if it can do that app)
