Hey guys, im looking to purchase a DIY security system for my house and of course garage.
Im looking for a DIY system that once is installed doesnt have any monthly fees.
Also one that will contact me if there's a issue, and one that will monitor smoke alarms aswell.
Right now the two system I have in mind are the fortress system http://www.fortresssecuritystore.com/index.php/wireless-alarm-system-bundles/gsm-basic.html
Technically a slightly monthly fee with this one if you want it to dial out since it requires a active sim card.
and the viper system which I really like, But it doesn't look like they have a smoke detector accessory yet. I have to research it some more. http://www.viper.com/home/starterkit/vhs100/viper-home-starter-kit
Any one have any experience or knowledge with either of these.
