See anything wrong with my sink drain vent?

There are industrial application mechanical vent seals that have quality components that last a lot of cycles, most likely still prone to vent burp though. The ones I'm seeing for $6, which has to be the ones these guys use because a the other ones are around $250, only last 5 to 8 years and then you unscrew them and screw on a fresh one to kill the farts smell under the sink.
Actually there are people who can not smell and the methane can make you sick too, so after 5 years I would just swap them.

I thought the "pro-vents" were about $6 and code almost nowhere. Studor units are like $25 and code in many places.

These seem to work...however they are a 'wear item' and will need to be replaced from time-to-time (it takes years for them to wear out though).

I have one of the cheap $6 vents under my sink because the vent pipe in the wall is cracked so the previous owner removed it. Would one of these $25 ones work much better?

I have had good luck the few times I have installed the $6 units. No point in upgrading unless it is giving you problems. Only issue I have had with "pro-vents" is the case getting cracked and pinchng it closed. That was a user caused problem. Had me thinking a drain was clogged. I have one venting a toilet and sink in a commercial building I rent. Not my install, but I was not going to do major plumbing work on a building I don't own. Completely not "right", but works fine. The Studor units will work the same. They should last longer and be code, but if an't borke, don't fix it.

No. The Studor unit is no better than the pro vent. And if the pro vent is not legal by you why would the studor vent be? Same internals, a rubber disk flap, the only difference between the Studor brand vent and the pro vent is $19, I have used both in a situation where the vent repair would cost thousands and truth fully I would in my own home not use them if I could do a proper out the roof vent.
Both leak, both last 5 to 8 years. If in doubt change it out. They are band aid units and any code that would allow them as a long term product is a poor quality code. You should never put them in a wall, you'll wonder why your house smells like *** and why you have a head ache and muscle pain.
In certain places you get a real nice mould problem from them discharging the water vapors when they leak.
The provents diaphragms wrinkle from drying out and then they are done. Same with these Studors.
If you would use these in your home in a case where you could easily put in an atmospheric vent up and out the roof I would call you a lazy slob. And 9 times out of 10 a guy who uses them cause they're cheap will be too cheap to swap them out in 5 years when they stink his home up.
So the guy getting methane gassed continuously, that just makes him even more incapacitated.
Just swap them out every 5 years, they're temporary until you remodel your home and can do a proper vent.
