I didn't do quite as well as you did, but I managed to pick these up last week. Snap on sockets in the bottom left corner $8.
The other sockets are like new SK. Along with the rest, (less the Snap on) $10. $18 total.
You made a great score. Don't you just love it when a deal goes your way?!!

I have found tools in Pawns around here to be WAY over-priced. I would bet they RARELY ever sell any!

Most of the pawn shops in my area have been put out of business by the car title loan people. It used to be I would get some smoking hot deals by buying a whole box of pawned tools, take out what I wanted (the good stuff) and I'd peddle the rest. I usually could make a few bucks on top of the stuff I kept.

Currently, even the remaining pawn shops don't take much in the way of tools in, so there's not that much to be sold. There are still deals available, but it's more luck than anything else. I got an American made geek tool (aka multi-tool) from Schrade for $1 a week or so ago.

All-in-all it ain't like the old days-at least around here. Some places might be more fertile ground though. I was in Jacksonville, FL in Feb. of 2004 for a week or so. I had a good bit of free time, so I went to several pawn shops. Not only were there a bunch of pawn shops, most of them had tools and most of them sold tools for dirt cheap. I didn't have any extra funds at the time, and I haven't had the chance to go back.

Man you did great on that haul! That 3/8" flex head at the top looks identical to the ACE brand one I bought a few weeks back when they were doing that 50% coupon deal. It is made in Taiwan and is actually a decent little ratchet for the $8 I paid for it.
