Sometimes i get lucky and that happened today, (Although I will need GJ member Four. Cycle's help on this company). I picked up this nice handy tool for sharpening blades and all it said on the tool was Select Prod Duarte, CA. So, I started looking on the web and one name kept coming up Western Select,Inc.

Sure enough I got my first break, when I found an Ebay ad for a Selectool and there was a nice picture of my tool.

Then I found the company information;

The starting date was August 10th,1964 and the ending date was March 16th, 1990.
The Selectool Trademark was 1982-02-02 and that lasted till 1988-09-23.

Not much to go on, like the name or names of all involved in making the sharpening tool in question. Funny but I think they threw in the kitchen sink in making the tool because on the end of it they put a glass cutting wheel.

Four cycle the ball is in your court on this new company.

^ I sent an inquiry to the company on their website but have not yet heard back from them. I am assuming it is the same ITEM - just not sure what's going on in respect to relocation/acquisition/merger/new ownership.

Since 1963, the SELECTOOL company has changed hands three times. There were three owners.

Very interesting three owners, it must have been a worthwhile tool to invest in.
