Looking for some with large type and clear lines, no smaller than 1/16" graduations, for my miter gauge fence.

Go with the Starrett Measure Stix. They're a metal tape, where most of the competition is only metal in color.

Actually they do use it on fishing boats.

How large? Based on this thread I went looking for a pair of both R to L and L to R for my sewing table.

McMaster Carr has some that are 1 1/4" wide. Ordered the 12' long ones myself.

That's some sewing table! Also, you can get a 0 in the center tape too.

It is a beast of a table. It's 5'x10' and weighs north of 500lbs.

I built a removable holder to hold rolls of vinyl as I'm trying to get a boat upholstery side gig/business off the ground.

FWIW, the tape was not 1 continuous piece. Each one had 4 sections that were 36" long and was kind of a pain to get set right as the surface I stuck it to has a slight curve to it.
