self leveling floor

He guys! I'm just about to put roofing and siding on my new garage... but as it's not weather tight yet, I have noticed that the back 1/3 of the garage seems to hold water pretty bad, as well as another couple of spots. So, as I plan to seal up the expansion joints, surface grind, then epoxy, should I level off those areas first? How well does that stuff hold up compared to the original concrete? It's going to be a general use garage with a emphasis on auto storage/ maintenance and metal fabrication/ welding/ machining.

if you're not planning on washing cars in there, I would leave as is

I concur. Also, if you are really planning on doing welding and fab work, just put a sealer on it and leave off the epoxy. Welding work is hard on it, and scars it up easily.

Yeah, that was my initial thought; just dye the concrete and seal it. Too late for that. I want it nice and bright in there, and I think epoxying is a big part of it. My only concern about the low spots in the floor would be building something on the floor needing it to be perfectly flat.

Even if you "level" it, it won't be level unless you spend a significant amount of time and money. Anything you build will need to be shimmed to level anyway. I doubt your bird baths are as bad as you think. Have you checked them with a 10' straight edge to see what they look like? I bet they are not that deep.

Puddles are about 1/4" deep when there are dry high spots.
