I have a like new 1/2 and 3/8 cordless from snap on for my home use. From new the 1/2 has been weak so it was sent in for a full rebuild under warranty. This got me thinking of selling my snap on stuff after it comes back and buying some of the new milwaukee stuff. I have never used the new ones; has anyone changed and noticed a huge improvement? Problem is it takes me down a rabbit hole with my ocd and then I will need to replace my 20v dewalt impact driver and hammer drill etc. Basically has anyone used or owns both and notice a huge difference. I see great reviews from both.

My experience from browsing around different online websites and social media platforms are that like most all other things, you will have fanboys and people who love the brand that they own and talk down upon the other.

I, like you, have heard both Dewalt and Milwaukee are great performers. Milwaukee seems to be the more often purchased. I currently have an older Dewalt 18v kit, as well as a 12v bit driver. I love them. However, I would eventually like to get a 1/4" and 3/8" cordless ratchet, as well as a 3/8" and 1/4" cordless impact, and they will both be from Milwaukee. My decision is made solely on the fact that more people have reviewed or commented positively on their performance than on the Dewalts. I have had zero problem with my Dwalts, up until a few months ago when the chuck started slipping on my drill. I can't fault it or be mad at it, because it's had a pretty tough 8ish years of life.
It seems like both brands do similar jobs. I'd imagine that the real-world feel of comparable tools between brands would probably be minor differences, assuming both tools were in good working order.

I would definitely buy Dewalt again, but when it comes to the tools that I want to get eventually that I listed above, I'll go the Milwaukee Fuel route.

I'm sure I'm going to get killed for this comment. I do have other Milwaukee tools, but none that are the equivalent of my Dewalt tools. I like them both, they're both respectable brands in my opinion.

If you know anyway for me to get around 200-300 buks for my 3/8 ct8810, I would sell it so quick and go for m18 or ingersoll rand (bc I have ir already).
Following upper tankers trend, I love Milwaukee, but I can’t imagine the 2767 1/2 can take on the ir w7152 in real world application

CT8850 and CT810. I will throw them up for sale when I get them back. So the buyer would get new batteries and a new gun. I would never try and sell a tool that I knew was having problems for "like new" condition.

sell it for top dollar while can .
Really not fan of snapon power tools, some are good design but some way behind on spec and warranty and repair is awful for the excessive cost .
I like the the IR impacts, milwaukee is great buy and makes a lot of sense when look at range and warranty and deal prices .
