Sell Wilton whole or part out?

I just picked up a very very nice 9450 today. However the front slide to dynamic has been welded. Its hard to believe this vise is actually broken. All the parts are in excellent shape. Nice swivel. Nice lock handles. Decent copper/brass jaws. Nice dust cap. Great static body. Handle and spindle/screw is also nice. Would it be best to part it out or sell whole?

It is a vice, use it. If it breaks again do a better job welding it.

If you are going to sell it, sell it whole but be honest about the repair. I would use that vise all day long as it looks way too good to part out.

Well im really more into flipping than keeping. It was welded when i got it. I didnt do the welding. Ive got a 6" Ridgid to beat on so i dont need this one.I was just thinking the shipping cost of selling this thing whole would cost more than what i paid for it. LOL

I agree with the first 2 responses.
Although that's a bad place to break, if it was welded right, it would be fine.
If I bought that vise, at a good price with the weld, I think it would be a bigger value in my shop, as a backup work vise, rather than seeing what I could get selling a welded vise or selling vise parts.

If anyone was interested i was planning on parting out this very very nice 9300 as well. Has a crack on the bottom of the static body. Everything else is very nice.
