I just got the gearwrench 3/8 pinless swivels and can confirm, they are made in usa (box said so). To the op's question, I love the sk4080 set of 3/8 semi deep impacts. Far and away, these are my most used sockets..2nd being the 3/8 swivel. I have pinned swivels but have found that I use them so frequently, I wanted the nice pinless type. I'll probably move the pinned set into the race trailer. Other than lug nuts, the 3/8 semi deeps and swivels cover 75% of my socket usage I'd guess. I occasionally reach for deeps but I almost NEVER use shallows. Maybe it's just me, but the shallows are just rarely needed and the semis give me more knuckle clearance. I do also have a set of nepros 3/8 semi deep chromes that I absolutely love. Great fastener fit and amazing finish. I almost avoid using them they are so nice..almost :)

The Craftsman pinless are USA. So are Armstrong (which you didn't mention, so that's slightly OT). These are all the same as the Matco USA pinless. Matco USA pinless are NOT thinner than Cman USA pinless.

Yes they are thinner. They are almost the same, but not.
