My wife and I are nearing completion on our new home.

The attached and detached garage floors have been poured, and I wanted to see what the recommendations are to achieve a natural semi gloss concrete finish.

My questions are as follows:

Can I avoid grinding the floor and get the semi gloss look?
I have four young kids, so I do not want something slippery
Should I use a sealer and then a wax and/or polish?
I do not want an epoxy or tile type floor. Just something simple.

Thank you in advance for your help. I have never done this before, so all comments are welcome.

That’s the ideal finish I am looking for! Thank you for that. Can I ask, is it a DIY type product, or would you recommend contracting it out. Thanks again!

Easy DIY
Just pressure wash your floor, let dry for a day and do a coat with a cheap Harbor freight pump sprayer and microfiber mop. Just wet it 3 ft widths at a time and smooth it all out with the mop keep the edege wet as you move across floor. 1st coat will take quite a bit more than the rest, get at least 1/2 gal more than you think you need. Their coverage is fairly accurate, but still get extra.

here is the install vid
