Trying to wire up my Sensi. I had to wire up my C or blue wire which wasnt in use with my dumb thermostat. Now however Im not getting 24V to all legs. R-C and R-G are getting 24V+, however R-W & R-Y are 12-14V. With talking to the Sensi help line I understand I must have 24+ to all 4 legs.

To make my C or blue wire hot I simple added into 24 VAC power spot, leg C on my control board. Which I confirmed is getting 24V

Any ideas?? Does this make sense?
Thanks

I have reinstalled my dumb thermostat several times and if functions fine. This is propane forced air with condenser AC, one zone. It is wired up exactly as the install manual for my control panel states.

No, it doesn't.

I had to add the "C" wire as well (even after buying it because "most" applications do not require a "c" wire...).

You should only need 3 wires.

What type of HVAC?

What T-stat did you have before? How many wires?

It was 4 wire, R.Y, G, W. The C wire was wrapped around at both ends. I simply connected it to the C on Sensi and the 24 VAC power in C on the panel.

Im getting 24V to 2 out of 4 wires. I have no idea why or how but according to Sensi it needs all 4 at 24V +

Can you post a link to where it says that? If all 4 have 24V coming in then you wont be able to switch anything.

Of the top of my head, I think you want 2 with 24v and then the other 2 will control your furnace and AC. When the T-stat calls for heat you will read 24V across that lead, and same for AC.

I only have propane forced so I'm only running 3 wires. Still can't get the Sensi to talk with mi WiFi and phone correctly, hope you have better luck then me there!
