Serous overhead outdoor lighting

Can someone recommend a light for the peak of my garage something bright enough so i can see good enough to wash my four wheeler after the sun goes down. Thanks

Just get a regular double socket motion light from HD/lowes. You can keep it motion or put a 3rd bulb in them. Add LED bulbs and you can really light up an area fast.

Right!
I would consider not only a light at the peak of your wall over the garage door, but 2 more directional spot lights at the top corners of your garage door. That will give you much better illumination of the mud you’re trying to remove from your rig.

I would consider not only a light at the peak of your wall over the garage door, but 2 more directional spot lights at the top corners of your garage door. That will give you much better illumination of the mud you’re trying to remove from your rig.

This. If you only have one point source of light, no matter how bright it is you will have shadows. And the brighter the light, the darker the shadows.

It worked great for washing vehicles.




That is a old photo, the tree at the left is gone, and that garbage cladwood siding (think particleboard between paper) is gone too, light was removed because of roof jack failure causing the 2X6 T&G pine decking to begin to rot, the 1 piece of wood to repair it was around $32.

A good headlamp will let you see what your doing better than any light mounted on a building.
