servess wrenchs?

i picked up a few servess SAE wrenchs about a month ago at an estate sale and finally used them today. the quality looks pretty good. has a raised panel like craftsman but made in spain. any thoughts or input on these?

Service wrenches have been made by a number of companies over the years, Bonney, Armstrong, Wright, Proto, Martin. The Martin ones may be the Spanish made ones, the others are US made. These are made for thin nuts used on hydraulic fittings, and other areas where a thin wrench is needed. Do not apply lots of torque, they will spread. Great however for running something that is too tight to run by hand, as they are short and will let you run the threads all the way down. Then you can use something else to make it tight.

no, a servess wrench! i would say the quality is comparable to a cman raised panel. the broaching for the box end is crisp and looks great.

True Value Hardware used to sell Servess tools, they were a lower priced line compared to their "Master Mechanic." I only have two Servess vise-grip imitation pliers, the couple of odd wrenches vanished.
