So I am researching costs and ideas on wiring a pole barn.
My questions are.
1. I have a 200 amp main breaker in the house. I need to run across the crawl space (40') exiting at the other side of the house and run 180' back to the pole barn. What wire gauge should I use for 100 amp service ? 1/0 copper ?
2. does the cable ran through the crawl space need to be in conduit?
3. how much does this the wire, conduit cost (aprrox) per foot.
4. I was reading

and found the unlimited tap setup interesting, but unsure if I can do this as I have a septic tank and engineered septic field somewhat in the line of trenching that would need to be done. This would eliminate the need to run across the length of the house though.
