Not really big into "look at how big my tool box is" but I'll share a pic and my reasons why I have one big tool box.....

Years ago when I first started out in the auto business I had the small craftsman tool box you see in the attached pic. As time went by I upgraded to a Snap on Classic 78 (top and bottom). I SWORE that would be the last tool box I bought. See how well THAT worked out??!?!?! Long story short what you see is what I ended up with. I am NOT a master tech, plumber, carpenter, mason, OR electrician.... BUT I can tell you I've dabbled in every kind of car out there along with plumbing, carpentry, masonry and electrical work. I learned early on that NOBODY was going to lend me tools. If I did get PHYSICAL help with something I'd have to typically do a song and a dance. If and when I did get PHYSICAL help a lot of times it would turn into "I need this special tool.. if you don't have it I'll come back later on
in the week with it (a week could be a days weeks or NEVER). HENCE ONE BIG BOX FOR ALL MY TOOLS 100% ORGANISED. The craftsman one holds a lot of misc junk. (Bolts, nuts, washers, pens, screws, wires, you name it its in there.) I've had that Snap on triple bank with a locker for a lot of years now. I'll BE DEAD before I fill it.

To get things in perspective the garage is a (tight) 2 car garage. The top snap on tool box is LOADED. I purposely did that because I can open all the drawers WITHOUT moving my firebird. The bottom is a different story. A good amount of drawers wont open all the way unless I roll the car back. (I took measurements before I bought the tool box.) Basically what i'm trying to get it is a lot of tools I don't use often go in the lower drawers. It "works" for me...

If I could go back in time I'd STILL opt for one big box. I'm CONSTANTLY trying to rearrange things in the garage to gain a couple inches of space here a couple inches of space there. In a perfect world I'd be able to call up people, borrow odd ball stuff that I've only used a handful of times (if that) and have a small/medium size tool box.

Hopefully my post will help others in their decisions on tool boxes.
