HI there, fairly new to the sight, but I LOVE IT!! I have several questions. Is there a way to save the posts, pms, replies, to your email account so that I can review them later?
Can I change my "name" from [email protected] to "bird?" If so, how?
Well, just a few questions that I'm sure are obvious to most "computer users," but, as usual, I can't figure it out . cheers, bird

If you subscribe to threads you like, you can then choose to get an e-mail notification when replies are posted. The notification can come immediately, daily, weekly etc. You can then read the replies in your e-mail.

As for the name change, I am not sure that is possible anymore. I will ask bmwpower.

At this early stage of your Garage Journal experience if you want to change your user name you could just open a new account. After being a member for only 2 mths and having only 20 some posts you could open a new account and not loose much since you don't have alot of time and posts invested in this username.Just my thoughts.

I thought of that option, caper. It might be the best bet. I think this current account would have to be deleted after the change, though, as multiple user accounts are not allowed.

Personally I think having your email address as your username would create just a maelstrom of spam, but hey if that's what you want.

1. Ten points for using the word "maelstrom." Great word.

2. I don't think that's what he wants, but he seems to be stuck with it.

I guess that's in how you interpret it - I'd think that with only 23 posts I'd just abandon it and create a new one... but Bird (see, I'm helping make the transition!) has said he doesn't want to.

That's what he needs to do and stop complaining. Hell, Merk averages 17 posts a day! :shocking:
