Ok, I am looking at outfitting my garage with the whole Seville Ultra Heavy Duty Garage system from Sam's Club and ordering what Sam's doesn't carry directly from Seville.

I really don't want to get into a debate about something else being better or if Costco is better than Sam's. I just want to see your layout of Seville products.

I plan on getting the following if not more:

Storage Cabinet
Wall Cabinets
Workbench 72"
Rolling Cabinet with with Drawers and Shelf
Rolling Cabinet all Drawers

I know we all love to show off our garages, so let's see what you got.

I'm interested in the same thing. Subscribed. I wish there was a category for cabinets and storage on here.

Not really pics of a garage set up, but I have some real life pics of the storage cabinet and rolling cabinets from Sam's I posted on a thread earlier this week. I'm going to get the rolling cabinet with drawers, lighted workbench and toolbox, I think.

Thread.

Having looked at everyone elses Seville pics, I'm beginning to think I;m the only guy on here who bought this style. I'm thinking they didn't offer these for very long?

Just finished mine. I may add some wall cabinets later. I actually bruised my hand from assembling all the screw. With this kind of stuff I like doing most of the screws by hand.

I am going to get some of the cabinets for my shop. I really like them for the money. I noticed on the Seville website, they have a mega cabinet now. It's big!

Looking good gentlemen!

Here's my version of the Seville HD 72" workbench with tuckunder 6 drawer rolling cabinet and stainless stool.

I had to shim the rolling cabinet casters with washers to offset the slope of the garage floor. Otherwise it did not fit squarely under the bench like you see in some other gallery pics.

The bench is really nice, tough to beat the value on that one. I'm still thinking of ways to protect the top, don't want to totally destroy such a fine looking surface! Ideas please???

Also I picked up some 1" x 6" maple for a back splash but that's still not started yet.

The cabinet is just so-so, for the price it's ok, but not anything close to a nice rolling toolbox.

The stool is pretty good, pretty comfy actually. Overall I like this stuff!

Similarly, I also had to shim my new 30" blue toolbox to offset the floor slope. For that one I actually needed longer bolts!

mark5767,

Which cabinet are you referring to? The wall mount units or the taller rolling floor cabinet?

mark5767,

What model/size of vise is that on your workbench? Is it a Wilton?

I was referring to the shorter rolling 6 drawer unit. The drawers are not up the same level of quality as most nicer toolboxes I've looked at.

The cabinets without drawers look really nice, both tall and wall mounted.

The drawers are not terrible, I just think it's hard to match a pre-assembled drawer versus one you screw together yourself.

Vise is a Wilton 744 Mechanics. Not a US made vise, those are more expensive than mine (bullets/columbian).

Mine is pretty good I think for under $200 compared to some others I looked at.

I don't need a super quality vise, but this one is pretty good. I needed something that I wouldn't be totally ashamed attaching to the workbench!

mark5767,

I just reread your post after you comment and it all makes sense. I have been a little weary of the drawered cabinets. While at Sam's I was playing with the drawers. The faces seemed a little week. It is were they attach to the drawer. It seem flimsy and would flex way to easily. I was hoping it was just from too many people mishandling it or that it was put together incorrectly. I still may get one, but now will consider other options.

I looked over the Seville Ultra HD components at Sam's on display and was impressed with the quality and doubly impressed with the price. I purchased the whole series. With exception of one wall cabinet everything is still in the box. I'm anxious to put them together but I'm still finishing the interior to my shop. This stuff is great for a home garage/shop but I'd probably go for the welded joint brands if being used commercial.

Reflecting on this a bit I agree welding makes all the difference with this line, especially when it comes to drawers. After spending several hours installing little screws, I thought to myself, hey, maybe there's a good reason most toolbox drawers are welded together at the factory!

I would say even for a hobby garage guy like me the Seville series is not so ideal as a main toolbox or items that get used very frequently. I view their drawers as more suitable for occasional use items, otherwise it could get frustrating.

Comparing the action on the Seville drawers to Masterforce or Harbor Freight, it's remarkable how big a difference there is. I actually look forward to grabbing sockets and other tools from the Masterforce the drawers are so smooth. With the Seville it's just not the same.

That said they make excellent quality stuff, but the drawers I think are better suited as secondary storage. For primary storage get something with good quality traditional welded toolbox drawers. Just my 2 cents!

I have to agree mark. I'm gonna get just strictly cabinets and the smaller wall cabinet, think the hf 44" is hard to beat for tools alone. The workbench looks solid though.

How did the backsplash turn out? I've been contemplating getting a 1x10 piece of maple to attach to my bench with 6" of it acting as a backsplash while the rest of it allows me to bolt my bench to the wall from underneath. I figured this would really help when using my vise.

Also, where did you get your maple?

I picked up the maple at Menards, it was pretty reasonable.

I won't do the back splash until later this winter. I want to pick up a trim router to finish the edge and it will be sort of a re-introduction to woodworking project since it's been a while since I've done much in that arena. Also, the wall is not even behind the bench so there is some custom fitting that will be needed.

Securing the bench to the wall is a great idea. I think I will do the same, although I will probably use some big 90 degree angle brackets attached underneath. The bench has a good weight and stability but it does tend to move around too much when you are working with the vise or clamps.

Overall I would say this bench is the single most useful and cost effective thing I've added to the garage with the toolbox a close second. Love it!

I contemplated using a piece of angle iron to bolt it to the wall, but realized my floor has a little bit of a roll right up next to the wall, so my bench wouldn't be able to sit close enough to the wall to make that work.

This bench is the best bang for your buck out there. I found a store selling their display for $125 so I snagged it up. I figured the couple of dings on the top wouldn't matter after I had it for a few weeks.

Has anyone purchased the small wall cabinets? If so, did you look into the Gladiators as well? I can't decide which one I want to purchase.

Hey Cagullett1,

I love the cabinets. Go together fast and have a great mounting system. I plan on grabbing a few more.

That's good to know. I have one of the small rolling undercabinets and wasn't very impressed. I bought it used from a lady who had it sitting in a storage building so I didnt figure it was abused.

Beowulf, what vise (brand, model, size) do you have mounted on your bench? That looks like a good fit for this bench. I bought a 6" Wilton from Northern Tool (not realizing how big it was going to be), and it looks HUGE on this 6' bench.

That is a 5.5" Craftsman Vise. It is unfortunately a very low quality vise. Luckily I did not bolt it down. It will be replaced by a Wilton 1755/1765 or a C2. I just need to find one for a price I'm willing to pay. The 1765 and C2 will look huge, but if the price is right I'll bolt it down.
