Shade 4 welding glasses

Does anyone know of a pair of shade 4 glasses that arent green. I know with helmets you can get gold shades but Im trying to find something for plasma cutting that isnt green.

a #4 lens is pretty light.......take care of your eyes

You can get blue lens (which are handy for welding aluminum)

I do as well. The tinted safety glasses are 100% Uv. The eye doc tested them.

pretty sure i saw some gray/smoked tinted lenses for plasma cutting on grainger and such when i ordered my nice green tint ones.

any good uv protective lens will be fine for plasma cutting. i dont mind the green at all, but i guess im used to it after doing so much torch cutting with a set of shade 8 glasses on my helmet all day

It's not just the UV that damages eyes, the arc from a plasma can do damage if you look at it. Made that mistake one night while making some precise cuts with only my torch glasses on. Eyes hurt like hell for two days, like a mild arc burn.
Most people do not look directly at the arc, but use the gun to shield the direct rays so tinted glasses work fine but do be careful.

ive made plenty of plasma cuts while looking at the partially exposed light with just my torch glasses on, granted they are shade 6. never had sore eyes like i had one time from tac welding too much with shade 8 torch glasses only because i was too lazy to get my helmet at the other side of the plant.

although i dont know the difference between what you were looking at and what i was looking at, so i will say be careful anyway, and if it looks too bright, it is probably too bright.
