This post is simply to share. I've gleaned a lot of good ideas from everyone here so I figured I would take a minute to post one of my recent projects. Maybe it will inspire someone's project.

I needed some storage above my toolbox. Didn't want anything too deep and wanted some cubbies to store misc nuts/bolts/etc.

The peg board is uber functional. I even used a scrap section of the peg board as a template for drilling holes for the adjustable shelves!

I was going to paint it but the poplar boards I got were so pretty I hated to cover them up, haha.

Enjoy.

Honestly it's constant changing. I've got a variety of hooks to hang things. I keep some of my safety glasses in there, etc. One side I'm using the shelf for cans, and the other side I took the shelf out and I'm hanging stuff on hooks. I'm getting ready to build some base cabinets for another section of the garage, so I may shift some things around afterwards. I love my garage but I hate the clutter.

The inspiration for my cabinet was a pic I saw online. They had hung things on the peg board section of the doors too, on the outside. Useful but I think things may swing around too much.

Not a huge fan of pegboard, BUT it is starting to grow on me!!

You can change/configure it around to suit your needs as they change.

That's really cool. I think there's something about 'containing' pegboard that makes it a little less chaotic. I used metal cabinets to kind of frame some pegboard, and even though it sits on a pegboard wall, it makes it seem a little less sprawling, to my eye.

Yours takes it a step further. I like it.

Very nice!

I have the plans for the pic you posetd...the doors slide as opposed to open on an hinge.

I hope to attempt to build them over the winter.
