Back story: I saw the Bonney line (flare nut) wrenches in the closeout section at Epstein's and the pictures don't look very good. I emailed them and was told the wrenches were "perfect". SK day came around and I needed one wrench to fill a pieced set of SK line wrenches, so I ordered a new SK F1214. When my order shipped, the SK was not in stock, but Epstein's sent me a Bonney of the same size (EF1214H), so I would not be without in case I really needed it at that moment. Absolutely GREAT customer service from Epstein's. The Bonney is Beautiful! Top notch quality and finish.

When my SK arrived I put them side by side. The Bonney is longer, and has thicker and wider heads on it, with excellent chrome. But both are excellent so I am keeping both. But I want folks to know Epstein's customer service is second to none, and the Bonney line wrenches, if you saw the pictures and had second thoughts, are fine looking and feeling, and it doesn't get any better than this. They are worth a look.

Thanks for listening.

I had Bonney flares that I bought new in the 1980s. The heads were weak, they flexed and rounded off the fittings, so I gave them away and bought a set of Proto. Other Bonney wrenches were very well made, some of my favorite.

You won't find better, more honest people than at Epstein's. I always enjoy talking to them. They sell quality and list the coo. They will call you if it is not in stock, tell when it will be and give you options for substitutes and shipping. My favorite online vendor.

Agree with the OP. Bonney's are great and Epstein's is phenomenal.

I've never used a Bonney flare 6-point, but the 12 point flare wrenches I have of theirs are top notch.
