So as things are winding down, I'd just like to thank all you guys again for the great show of support that you showed. Not only did "Epstein's Day" make a significant impact on our business but the residual effects of this thread brought in a lot of people over the past few weeks. Thanks Bull and thank you everyone for supporting us.

Glad to hear about the initial and lasting impact, and I hope the residual benefits of the exposure continue. I look forward to doing this again next year.

And, I still need to post my tools in this thread. The SK hat is already dirty and sweaty from prolonged use!

Glad we could help out, Jori. I may yet have another order in me...

My Wright shirt is stained with coolant, cutting oil, motor oil, and all kinds of jazz. (Not ****) I definitely want another one... maybe I'll email Wright? :D

I just realized I still haven't posted a picture of anything I got, but needless to say, it is being used every day. (Even the call bell). That 3/8 ratchet gets a heck of a work out, that's for sure. I even bought a few sockets to make sure I could use it where ever I was in the shop.

Got my stuff today. They couldn't deliver the cutting oil (fluid on planes and all that) and my box art musta fell of somewhere over the atlantic 'cause it was nowhere to be seen. ;)

Anyway, I got loads of goodies.

- 4 pry bars 17"-36".
- 2 roller bars 5/8".
- 1/4" and 3/8" Armstrong flex. Man those are comfy handles.
- Wright 3/8"'s. 3490, very stiff due to being old stock as others have
mentioned. 3425 long, very smooth and light action and also very nice
handles.
- Various Wright socket rails and 3/8" and 1/2" clips.
- Grace 1lb brass hammer. Gonna buy more of those in different sizes
- Wright 24" breaker bar. Super beefy handle.
- Norseman 13pc Cobalt drill bit set + 5 small size molybd. drill bits.
- Channelock 6" end cutter. #356.
- Wilde 9" straight lock ring pliers.
- Wright t-shirt. Freebie, thanks much.
- Wilde pliers. Freebie, thanks much.

And ha ha Bull, I posted before you. Na,na,na-na,naa. :D

Edit: Cost me NOK 730 in VAT and NOK 234 in customs clearance fee. About $150 extra.

Received a warranty replacement today. One socket clip and one 3/8" Armstrong ratchet due to the fact that the flex joint lever were broken when I received my 7/4 order. That part is not sold individually so I got a new ratchet. The old one still locks but it is a cumbersome experience.

Decided to spring for a new hammer as well, 16 oz Estwing bent claw.

Great follow up from Jori since I put forth my claim and I've now got two Armstrongs for the price of one.:thumbup::thumbup:

It is very satisfying to deal with places like Epstein where you know you will be taken care of. I just might buy more stuff from them. ;)

Thanks Jori.

one last straggler.....

Well at long last, my official Epstein's Day order arrived today. According to Steve at Epsteins, there was some kind of QC problem at the Wright factory and this delayed the manufacture of my 3440 ratchet. I just asked them to hold shipping until the order was complete. They sent regular updates and kept me in the loop so great job on the customer service guys  I'm already picking out my next order so it's safe to say I'm happy with the whole deal. In this lot, I got the Wright 3440 ratchet (awesome, BTW), Knipex 7" plier wrench (10 inch will be on the next order), channel lock bent needle nosed pliers, free Wright Tshirt and the free adjustable pliers.

Not the day but thought I would share my purchase anyway. Just a little one for now. I plan on a bigger one soon.

Also, the box art is amazingly fitting for my garage ;)

That EKA is very similar to the one I got but slightly different. Is it the #8? What was their part number?

Received my FIRST purchase from Epstein's yesterday...and all I can say is WOW! I am truly impressed with their service, shipping time and packaging, and of course price point. I am in process of upgrading my Craftsman line of tools...let the games begin!

I am happy I stumbled upon this forum, it really helped with my decision on what 3/8" flex/locking flex ratchet to buy. It was really between the SK and Armstrong...very happy I went with the Armstrong. Thanks guys.

I love the locking flex ratchets. My favorite ratchets by far.

Does harry sell breaker bars? I cant seem to find one on the site as I plan to order the 1/2 Armstrong locking flex ratchet soon. I would like a 24" breaker bar.

Epstein's save's the day. Thought I was going to have to grind down one of my spring hook/pullers to fit through the holes on a motorcycle clutch. Then I vaguely remembered seeing a small spring puller in Epstein's. Just what I needed and can you beat $2.00

Epstein's seems like a great resource; never heard of them before I started reading GJ.

I just ordered & received 2 Norseman HSS drill bit sets, the 29 pc fractional set & the 60 pc numbered set. Shipping was fast, & the price seemed good. Nice metal index boxes also.

I'm just a home handyman, tinkerer, woodworker, car repair guy, not a pro, but I enjoy & appreciate having a good tool collection. For the first time in my life, I have an organized collection of SHARP drill bits in all of the sizes I'd expect to need, rather than the drawer full of random bits I've accumulated in my years. I'll sort them out, use them to practice sharpening, & pass them on to my kids, or whoever else can use them.
