Sharing .stl files?

As more of us get 3D Printers, would it be possible to directly upload/attach .stl files to make the sharing easier? Maybe a feature for the board after the software switch?

ZIP it? As a test, I attached a zip file of the below screen grab .jpg - worked fine

Yeah, I know thats an option, but its an extra couple steps and I always have an "aversion" so to speak of downloading random .zip files on the internet. My impression, right or wrong is that I trust .stl files more...not sure if thats misplaced?

Wondered about that, hesitant because I hate when pictures die due to having linked from 3rd party host so I try to keep all my pictures in albums here and was using the same thought process for files.

I'll try zipping things and see if anyone requests them via other sources, maybe the hesitation on downloading zip's is just on my end.
