I won a Black & Decker workshop years ago in a store drawing. It included a split top workbench, power tools & accessories.

It included a set of jigsaw blades, 1 with a standard smooth knife edge. It was great for heavy cardboard.

I have never seen another of this blade. Not in stores or on websites. Has anyone else ever seen this?

That scalloped blade looks useful. Do they make something like this for a pneumatic high-speed-saw? One of those small one-handed things. It might just convince me to buy one.

What is a name for the connector? M googling is only giving me the saw right now.

try googling:
Knife Edge 1/4 Inch Universal Shank Standard Jigsaw Blade
Vermont American make or made them

For the OP, that's probably it. The jigsaw either uses a T or U shank blade.

What is a name for the connector? M googling is only giving me the saw right now.

I'm not sure. These just say: "for all standard shank air reciprocating saws". Definately not a U or T shank, or what you find on a sawzall either. But can you picture one of these:

on something like this:

It's got my imagination going.

I only have a handful of blades gotten from an airplane mechanics box, so have no idea the potential of an air powered saw. Keep forgetting to ask my buddy who has every tool it seems

There are several shank types for the pneumatic “auto body” type saw blades.

I don’t own one, but I think the most common shank type may just be the dimensions of your average hacksaw blade. In this case you would half to make your own knife edge blades since I don’t think knife edge or wavy edge hacksaw blades exist.

There’s also a “Sig” shank type blade, that was used for saws made by Sig( Now Biax ) and a few other manufacturers.

I forget the other types.

As far as the knife edge blades go, there are also wavy knife edge blades made for reciprocating saws.
Milwaukee seems to offer one, and MPS Sagen of Germany, and Wilpu.
There are also plain knife edge reciprocating saw blades made for insulation, although those are wider.

Ok, that's good to know. Those would fit a hackzall type tool. Thanks!
