sheating tape pulling up

I just got done hanging 6mil poly on three of my walls last week, then started to tape the poly to the poly that wraps around my outlet boxes and it seemed to stick pretty good until I went out to the garage today, and pretty much each area taped had sections pulled up and not sealed.

Has anyone had this problem? The brand is IPG from home depot. Trying to do this the right way, but must be doing something wrong as this stuff is supposed to be really sticky.

Sometimes the plastic has cornstarch on it. You may need to clean it first.
